Following the launch at the ISAPS Congress in Geneva, the ISAPS-LEAP Surgical Relief Teams© (SRT) strategic planning team has developed several opportunities to connect, train, equip and deploy highly skilled surgeons to disaster situations throughout the world. Even if you were unable to attend the introductory meetings in Geneva, we invite you to take advantage of several opportunities available to begin the preparation process.

Log-on to the online resource center which is password protected for registered participants. If you are not registered, please click here to register now.
In the future we hope to offer in-depth training opportunities online, so please check back to the resource center periodically as we update the resources and adapt the format.
The first free 4-hour overview training course*, Disaster Relief Preparedness for Surgical Relief Teams will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 in New York, New York, USA during the ASAPS Meeting.
*Space is limited to the first 30 responders.
Throughout the year we plan to have several overview courses and in-depth multiple-day training courses, which we hope to be underwritten financially so they too can be offered with little or no cost to you. The first 2-day course is tentatively scheduled for June 7 and 8 in Dallas, Texas, USA. The attendees from the New York introductory course will be given priority for these spaces.

Depending on demand, we hope to offer the courses in several other regions in 2013. Please, let us know if there is interest and available resources in your location.
